For Your Consideration
Suppose you were on the team of Watson and Crick seeking to determine the structure of the glob of stuff in our cells we now call DNA. Imagine the excitement when you read another person’s work about how it is doubtful this glob can be a tri-helix that so many other scientists are working on. Imagine how excited you are when you write your paper on DNA. The question comes to mind, “How do you tell the world?” You are excited, but running out into the streets is not an option. It takes time, but time is short.
Now Consider Jesus and His time. Everyone in His society was looking for the coming of the Messiah. For years He wondered, “How do I tell the world, ‘I am The Great I AM, I AM The Messiah’?”
In the case of Jesus, the question He had to answer was, “What is most important to say to start His ministry, and how do I present it to the people to get their attention? They are not seeking what I have to say.
---------------------------
For those who know about Jesus or believe, it is how we live our lives that answers that question of Jesus, “Who do you say I AM?” It is an answer to our eternity! We are here on this rock called Earth but for a blip in the time line of the time we call eternity. Consider well your answer. Our time is short.
Next week, Aug 22, we will consider how Jesus began His ministry and what it says to us today.
Thanks be to God.

Scriptures to
consider for your life and future Bible Study discussions.
Ephesians 2:8 NIVNew International Version
Ephesians 2:8 NIVNew International Version
For it is by grace you
have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of
God--
Jesus said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith
the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here
to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
Consequently, faith
comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of
Christ.
41
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing,
but the flesh is weak."
42 Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done."
